03 Jan 2010 » Untouchable for Top 10 in 2010?
A group of dedicated Girls Aloud fans have launched a campaign to get Girls Aloud's epic masterpiece, 'Untouchable', into the UK Top 10.
The single was released last year due to popular demand but after poor promotion it stalled at #11, thereby ending their string of Top 10 hits.
After the successful Facebook campaign which saw Rage Against The Machine storm to #1 at Christmas, some Girls Aloud fans have decided to fight back. When they have gained enough supporters, organisers will set a date when everyone can get hold of the track to see if they can get it back in the charts.
Untouchable Top 10 Campaign
- Facebook Group
- Twitter
- Blog
News of the campaign has already hit Digital Spy and thanks to the help of dancer Anthony Kaye, Nadine Coyle has tweeted about it too.
The Facebook group has over 3,000 members but more are needed as it would take over 20,000 copies to ensure the track makes the Top 10.
Can the fans do it? Who knows! But if you want to join in then have a look at the links above!
Girls Aloud hold the record for most consecutive Top 10 hits of any girl group anywhere in the world with 20 even beating The Supremes. They also hold the record for most Top 10s, regardless of being consecutive.

02 Jan 2010 » Nadine's Solo Work
I thought I best post something regarding the utter tripe that tacky British tabloid, The Sun, is reporting regarding Girls Aloud's solo ventures.
The article claims that all Universal labels have snubbed Nadine, refusing to sign her up for a solo career and instead favouring Cheryl Cole.
As ever this is the press making up a story and passing it off as a fact. The journalist (can we actually even call them that?) also claims that Nicola launched her Dainty Doll make up range in 2009 even though it was actually available the previous year.
Please ignore the pathetic story, it's clearly another slow news day. I'm surprised they aren't splitting up for the 17,000th time to be honest!
Nadine has been recording solo tracks for quite some time having worked with huge names such as Guy Chambers. She is signed to EMI Publishing, Monster Management and Thomas Martin's PR group.
On BBC Radio Two's 'Great British Songbook of the 00s', which Coyle presented yesterday alongside Alan Carr, the Irish starlet confirmed she plans to release material this year.

02 Jan 2010 » Girls Aloud in Top 100 Songs of the Decade
Girls Aloud's massive #1 hits 'The Promise' and 'Sound of the Underground' are amongst the biggest selling singles of the 00s according to the Official Chart Company.
The girl group are the only all girl group to have multiple entries in the list of the Top 100 Selling Singles from 2000 to 2009. That puts them ahead of acts such as Sugababes, Destiny's Child and Pussycat Dolls.
'The Promise' sneaked in at #99 whilst 'Sound of the Underground' was the 40th biggest hit of the last ten years.
Cheryl Cole's 'Fight For This Love' came in at #29 despite having only been on sale for a few months.
Congratulations Girls!

16 Dec 2009 » Congratulations Cheryl and Joe
I'd like to send a huge congratulations to the amazingly talented Joe McElderry who won this years X Factor on Sunday with his mentor, Cheryl Cole.
Cheryl is now the only judge to mentor the winning contestant twice in a row and ties with Simon Cowell as the judge with most wins.
Joe polled more than 61% of the final vote, over 22% more than runner-up Olly Murs. This is the biggest gap between the top 2 in X Factor history and the final attracted a peak of over 19 million viewers!
You can help Joe get to number one by buying his debut single, 'The Climb', right now.
