V Festival 16.August.2008
See the V Festival Performance
Girls Aloud are playing at Chelmsford at 2.30pm tomorrow. This is the V Venue which is being broadcast live on the new music channel, 4 Music. As they are performing on the 'V Stage', their set will be shown live on tomorrows broadcast.

In case you are not in, Channel 4 and E4 have several highlights shows lined up which will show the best from the entire festival. Check TV listings for these at Channel 4's website.

V Explained
As I've had a few emails from confused fans, here's the information...

The V Festival is a two-day event which takes place in two venues - one in Staffordshire and the other in Chelmsford. Whoever performs at Chelmsford on Saturday will repeat their set at Staffordshire on Sunday and vice versa.
Additionally, there are different stages on which you can perform to allow more acts to play the event. This effectively means that you cannot see everyone on the line-up. For example, this year when The Verse take to the 'V Stage', the Kaiser Chiefs will be performing on the '4 Music Stage'.

As a result, not all performances can be aired live on TV. 4 Music is therefore airing the Chelmsford V Stage live, cutting to select performances from other stages between the different acts. Channel 4 and E4 will air other performances (as well as some of those shown live) during highlights shows.

Girls Aloud at V
Girls Aloud performed in Staffordshire's Weston Park today sporting matching black outfits, different to those seen on the 'Tangled Up Tour'. The girls main stage set was roughly 45 minutes long and saw them perform (in order):
- Sexy! No, No, No...
- Sound Of The Underground
- Can't Speak French
- Love Machine
- With Every Heartbeat
- Push It
- Biology
- Call The Shots
- Jump
- Something Kinda Ooooh

Pictures can be seen on the GirlsAloud.net Forums, where videos will also appear after tomorrow's televised performance.

Single NOT Announced 11.August.2008
RUMOURS ARE FAKE!
I would like to personally confirm, after being linked to the stories, that today's rumours regarding the new Girls Aloud single are indeed untrue. The girls' 19th single is NOT called '(Don't Say...) Temptation'.

An announcement will be made shortly with official details about the release and fans are urged not believe anything until it is confirmed by a member of Girls Aloud or their official website (or maybe the Popjustice homepage).

The official announcement will be posted on the main page of this site as and when it is released. You will notice today's update (below) mentioned nothing of the day's joke.

Still Alive! 11.August.2008
Site News
I'm now back from my travels and ready to begin work on the new layout. It's all sorted really - just the content to move over and update. So keep your eyes peeled! I may be a little slow to get it going as I've just started a new job and am pretty busy at weekends too but I'm sure the love for Girls Aloud will make me find time, ha!

Girls Aloud Update
- Girls Aloud's first ever book, 'Dreams That Glitter - Our Story', is heading your way very soon (October 6). It should be in stores in the next few months along with 'Tangled Up Live' DVD and the sexy 2009 calendar - both hitting the shelves next month.

- The girls' next single is expected to premiere in September! It is apparently completed and an announcement is coming our way...or so we are lead to believe!

- Cheryl is currently working hard on X Factor in between Girls Aloud's summer dates and you can see adverts for the new series on ITV's website right now. The series kicks off on Saturday!

- Girls Aloud will be performing at this weekends V Festival so anyone with tickets make sure you check out their performance!

Holiday 29.June.2008
HIATUS: Webmaster on Holiday
I am now on holiday until July 22 meaning there will be no further updates until this time. You can still catch all the latest on the GirlsAloud.net Message Forums and a brand new version of Girls Aloud World will be launching shortly after my return!
See you then!

Girls Aloud Still Together 19.June.2008
Cheryl's not leaving, nor are Sarah or Nadine!
I've had loads of emails recently from fans asking whether Girls Aloud are coming to an end. Cheryl's new role on X Factor and recent solo project with Will.i.am have sparked rumours that she is set to leave the group. It was then reported that both Sarah and Nadine were furious at their bandmate for stealing the limelight and affecting their own solo wishes.

Girls Aloud World urges everyone to ignore these stupid rumours. They are conjured up by sad tabloid journalists who have nothing better to do. Girls Aloud split stories are nothing new and yet they are still hear! Work has begun on a fifth studio album and we can expect to hear new material from the group before the end of the year. Cheryl is confirmed to perform with Girls Aloud at all upcoming events and will not let her X Factor role interfere with her commitments to the group.

Girls Aloud are here to stay!

News and You 10.June.2008
Cheryl's Got the X Factor
It has been confirmed that Cheryl will replace Sharon Osbourne as a judge on ITV's X Factor. She joins former manager Louis Walsh, Dannii Minogue and the legendary Simon Cowell on this years panel.

Cheryl will continue to appear with Girls Aloud and work on material for their new album. She'll be a busy girl for the rest of the year but has not intentions to leave Girls Aloud - so don't worry!

Girls Aloud World Team
Girls Aloud World is recruiting! If you would like to be a member of the team then email Andy at andrew@girlsaloud.org. We are looking for news reporters, those with their eye on the charts and a media crew for the next version of the site. You can also apply to be a 'CREATOR' meaning you design avatars, desktop wallpaper and such. There's lots to do and you can be part of one of the biggest Girls Aloud sites on the net - so get in touch!

Another Update 18.May.2008
Content Fixed...Again!
Yes, it stopped working again - i'm very angry at the server - but it SHOULD be OK again now. So annoyed!

Getting Tangled Up
All the UK got Tangled Up last night as the girls live gig at London's 02 Arena was broadcast at VUE Cinemas around the country! The tour has had amazing reviews so far despite reports of Cheryl being emotional on stage and Kim falling ill! Keep up the good work girls.

5th Studio Album
The girls have announced that work has begun on writing tracks for their 5th studio (6th overall) album! Expect more news shortly but this should be good enough to quash rumours of a split any time soon!

Tour Pics, Videos and News
For all the latest pictures (none will appear on this main site until the end of the tour to keep it a secret) you can head over to the GirlsAloud.net Forums NOW!!!
